~ From Renaissance to modern ~ ~ From solo to full choir&orchestra ~ ~ From classical over pop to non-western music

Since 2000 I have been aiding composers, arrangers and editions to prepare scores for print and/or digital distribution. My aim is to marry legibility with precision enabling each line of music to become a direct conversation between composer, musician, and audience.

I work with Finale, which also includes midi and XML import. You can also provide manuscripts or pdfs from previous prints to work from.

Live in South Africa. Got a Masters in Music theory from University of Southern California. Have experience with Finale and typesetting since 1992.

I taught Instrumental music (Trumpet, Recorder, Classical guitar, piano and Church Organ) and also music theory at different levels. I am playing organ since 1969 and still do so. I also have experience in Church choirs and piano performance

Since our currency (Rand) performs so badly against the euro and Dollar, I can do Music typesetting at a better rate than most. (Rand - Euro 18 - 1) I use Finale since 1992 and are well trained in music. I am committed and work fast and accurate.

Name: Speranța Moraru
Skills: Composer, Player, Soloist
Address: London, United Kingdom

Speranța Moraru is a composer and pianist. She composes music for solo piano in the classical genre. She was born on October 20th 1988 in the Republic of Moldova. Her name ‘’Speranța’’ means Hope. At eight years old, she went to study piano professionally at a conservatoire. Her love for music and composition came from her childhood, even though none of her family members were musicians. Her father is an engineer, and taught electromechanical engineering until he retired. Her mother was a college maths teacher, who is now also retired. She has two older sisters, three nephews, and two nieces. Speranța speaks 3 languages: Russian, Romanian and English. Romanian is her mother tongue. In 2014 she moved to London, where she currently resides. Speranța started composing music at the age of nine. Nocturne op. 9 no. 1 and Nocturne op. 9 no. 2 by Frederic Chopin was the first nocturnes she heard, and they quickly became her favourite pieces of piano music. Frederic Chopin’s music had a big impact on her love for composition and for piano, thanks to his melancholic and melodic style. In April 2020, Speranța released her first piano singles: Night and Woe, Heartbeat of Midnight, Sound of my Soul and Le Vicomte Waltz. Le Vicomte Waltz is the first waltz she composed. It was inspired by the Palace of Vaux-le-Vicomte and the Palace of Fontainebleau in France. They impressed her so much that the melody of Le Vicomte Waltz started playing in her head whilst she was visiting them. Seeing both palaces’ ballrooms, imagining how years ago, people were dancing waltzes there; the amazing view of the gardens from the top of the Palace of Vaux-Le-Vicomte; the horseshoe stairway of the Palace of Fontainebleau - these inspired her to compose Le Vicomte Waltz. Night and Woe, Heartbeat of Midnight and Sound of my Soul are melancholic piano pieces, which were composed at different points in her life. They are all within the classical crossover genre. They would appeal to anyone who is drawn to sad and melancholic piano music. Speranța Moraru is an independent musician who is currently working on her first piano album, which will be released by the end of 2020. The album will have sixteen tracks, and will be fifty minutes long.

With a voice praised as beautiful, captivating, thrilling, and rich, tenor Michael Calmés has achieved a distinguished record of performances in concerts, recitals, opera, and oratorio, acclaimed by audiences and critics alike. He has appeared as a guest soloist with choruses, orchestras, and chamber music ensembles throughout the U.S. He excels in great oratorios such as Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Creation, and Mendelssohn’s Elijah, concert works such as Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde, and an extensive repertoire of both well-known and rare works encompassing Monteverdi, Mozart, and contemporary masters. His solo recitals at home and abroad have elicited high praise for the beauty, expressiveness, and emotional power of his singing.

Mr. Calmés made his European debut in the Bach Magnificat at the Rijeka Festival in Venice followed by concert tours of Austria, Belgium, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, and former Yugoslavia including television appearances and radio. His concert debut at La Madeleine in Paris launched a collaboration with organist James David Christie. They returned in subsequent seasons for concerts in Paris and Germany, where Mr. Calmés was the only classical singer invited to participate in the international music festival Nachbar Amerika. Later concert engagements took him to London, Cambridge and Oxford, England; Vienna; Rome; and in China under the auspices of Shanghai’s Office of Cultural Affairs, with concerts in Beijing, Kunming, and Shanghai.

Michael Calmés is featured on the CDs Time and Eternity with Janus 21 — called “the superb tenor” by Lloyd Schwartz in the Boston Phoenix — and An Evening of Premieres celebrating Daniel Pinkham. His CD on the Centaur label is Cantique de Noël, Beautiful Songs of Christmas with pianist John Finney and original orchestrations by Dorian Charnis. He is tenor soloist at Wellesley Hills Congregational Church and half of duoCANZONA with organist Timothy Smith.
