Testimonial: 'Not only was she a gifted and knowledgeable teacher - she also instilled in him a love for the music - guiding and allowing him to choose pieces that interested him as well as challenged him. As a result, he never needed to be told to practice - in fact he spent as much time as possible at the piano developing a love for both classical and jazz repertoire. Under Elenye's tutelage, he was a finalist in the Boston Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition giving him the opportunity to play on the Symphony Hall stage, and he had many opportunities as an accompanist and collaborative pianist for his high school choirs and soloists earning him his high school's Chopin Award. ... Her guidance helped him prepare for college auditions as a piano performance major and he was offered the highest merit scholarships available from three different institutions.' - Janet L, parent

Her playing has often been described as profound, electrifying and sensual. Gila has performed as a Solo artist and collaborative pianist throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Israel. Among her most notable engagements were performances at Merkin Concert Hall and Steinway Hall in New York City, the Purcell Room at the South Bank Center in London, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Old First Church in San Francisco, College of Notre Dame in Baltimore, University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, University of Evansville in Indiana, Gardner Museum in Boston, Dame Myra Hess concert, the Ravinia Rising Stars Series and Symphony Hall in Chicago, Great Performances series in St. Louis, Musée de Louvre in Paris, Pallacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto, Henry Crown Hall in Jerusalem and the Tel Aviv Museum. A Board member of the American Liszt Society (ALS) and the Founder-President of its NY/NJ Chapter since 1992, Gila is a frequent guest performer at the ALS annual festivals and at the Great Romantics International Festival in Hamilton, Ontario (Canada). A champion of the music of Israel's leading composer Paul Ben-Haim (1897-1984) in the past decade as a performer and recording artist, Gila has recorded two volumes of his entire piano works and three chamber works on the Centaur label: Piano Works of Paul Ben-Haim, (released in June 2001) and Paul Ben-Haim, Volume 2: Piano and Chamber Works (released in November 2005). Among the rave reviews the recordings have received worldwide, the American Record Guide wrote: Goldstein is a charismatic performer who plays with great flair, delicate nuances, fluid tempi and brilliance . PIANIST magazine in London wrote: “Goldstein proved two things: that Ben-Haim’ s neglect was thoroughly undeserved and that she has a technique as fierce and fiery as the color of her hair”. These recordings mark a significant addition to the few commercial releases of Israeli classical music, in particular piano music, and therefore meaningful for the understanding of this genre and for increasing its international recognition. They are also an important addition to 20th century’s recordings of piano and chamber music in general. Gila Goldstein holds a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music where she studied with Mrs. Nina Svetlanova and a Bachelor of Music from the Tel-Aviv University's Academy of Music, where her teacher was Prof. Victor Derevianko. | Caroline Haffner is acclaimed by connoisseurs, critics and fellow musicians for the brilliant virtuosité, profound musicianship and dramatic intensity of her playing. She has been encouraged throughout her career by personalities such as Placido Domingo, Maxim Vengerov and Mstislav Rostropovitch, who has spoken of the imagination, colour and poetry in her performance.
The style of playing - eminently romantic and dramatic - which characterizes Caroline Haffner allows her to be mentioned alongside the legendary pianists with whom she has studied. As a child prodigy she took lessons with Alfred Cortot and was deeply influenced by the limpidité, fluidity and spontaneous expression of his style. Later she studied with Samson Francois, Pierre Sancan, and with David Oistrakh's accompanist, the Russian teacher Lev Oborine in Moscow.
Caroline Haffner is much in demand as a chamber orchestra musician, and spends a large part of her time collaborating with artists of international renown such as Maxim Vengerov, Teresa Stich-Randall, Bruno Pasquier and Alain Marion. Her recording of Mendelssohn's sonatas and variations acclaimed in reviews by 'Fanfare' and 'Intune' among many others. She has been invited as Maître de Chant by the Opéra of Paris, the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the St. Gallen and Monte-Carlo Operas. She has also been the accompanist at a number of opera recitals.
In 2006 Caroline Haffner focussed on recitals of Mozart's music and presentation of his music in her festival activities and working and performing with cellists and violinists in masterclasses and performances. Celebrations of Mozart continue into 2007 with performances planned for Istanbul, London, La Baule and Gstaad and further recitals of Chopin's Ballades and Nocturnes.

| Anna Kasket was educated at the North London Collegiate School. She went on to Lincoln College, Oxford, where she was awarded a top First Class degree in English Language and Literature. She took piano, organ, oboe and harmony at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and harpsichord lessons with Robert Woolley. She studied ballet and European traditional dance as a pupil of the Stella Mann School of Dancing, also in London.
After Oxford, Anna was awarded a De Lancey Scholarship by Trinity College, Cambridge, for postgraduate research in English and Continental music and theatre of the 17th century. Her research extended to Jesuit college music-theatre; Roman Catholic poetry of apotheosis; obscure and forgotten music-dramas of the London stage; and musical 'dialogues' of the seventeenth century, amongst other literary, philosophical, visual and musical phenomena
While at Oxford University, Anna acted for OUDS (the Oxford University Dramatic Society), and directed Christopher Marlowe's Dido, Queen of Carthage, at the Oxford Union. She sang in Lincoln College Chapel Choir; and took part in chamber music sessions as a pianist, as well as giving a solo piano recital. At Cambridge University, Anna choreographed Purcell's Dido and Aeneas at Peterhouse Theatre, Handel's Acis and Galatea- at the ADC Theatre, and Gluck's Orfeo - at the Arts Theatre. She directed Holst's Savitri -and performed in The Soldier's Tale (dancing The Princess) for Cambridge University Opera Society (CUOS).- Other performances include Gilbert and Sullivan's Trial By Jury for St. Catharine's College, and a solo vocal recital. Anna was a member of St. Catharine's College Chapel Choir and toured with them to the Cathedrals of France, and to Switzerland, Italy and Holland. After leaving Cambridge, she sang The Sorceress in, and directed Dido and Aeneas for the National Art Collections Fund, at Longstowe Hall, Cambridgeshire; and then went on to sing and act with national companies such as Opera 80, Théâtre de Complicité and the Trestle Theatre Company, with whom she toured extensively in Britain, and performed in Sicily and Australia.
Recently, Anna Kasket has been the director of a madrigal group in Grantchester; performed in Cambridge as a viol player; and she was the permanent accompanist for the King's College School Parents' Choir until the birth of her daughter Gloria in January, 2000. Similarly on hold for a period of maternity leave is Anna's participation in concerts by the vocal group Quintessence, which she founded in 1999, primarily to sing four- five- and six-part music of the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. The group gave its inaugural concert at the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge. A 'Finale' user for many years, Anna Kasket founded Lancelot Unlimited Music Typesetting (named in memory of her black cat, Lancelot) in 1998, with an academic commission from Professor John Stevens of Cambridge University, who has written Music and Poetry in the Early Tudor Court and Words and Music in the Middle Ages. It is an edition of 'The Earliest English Song-Book' ~ Cambridge University Library MS. Ff.i.17 ~ and is due to be published by Oxford University Press.
