The musical gifts of internationally acclaimed piano virtuoso Tzvetan Konstantinov showed themselves early. He began his piano studies at the age of five, when he was found to be endowed with absolute pitch and gave his first recital at the age of nine. At the age of eighteen he performed publicly the complete Bach's Well Tempered Clavier from memory. After winning two of the most prestigious competitions in Bulgaria he toured extensively throughout his native country.

Mr. Konstantinov mastered his piano playing under one of the most beloved and valued concert pianists and pedagogues in Bulgaria, VELICHKA (WELLA) SAVOVA. SAVOVA as with the case of HEINRICH NEUHAUS (the teacher of SVIATOSLAV RICHTER) was taught by the legendary LEOPOLD GODOWSKY the principle of weight release (frei Gewichtkeit, Gewichtsspiel und vollstandige Freiheit), rather than muscular impetus, as the most efficient method of playing. (Ms. SAVOVA was also a student and assistant of LEONID KREUTZER and GOTTFRIED GALSTON at The Academy of Music in Berlin, Germany).

Following his graduation Summa Cum Laude (Master Degree) from the famed National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia, Bulgaria Mr. Konstantinov was selected for an exclusive two-year post-graduate program "Meister Klass" at The National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov", followed by his specialization in "Viennese Classics, Romantics and Moderns" at the legendary University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria. Among his many mentors and teachers he had and studied with were some of the greatest pianists of all times: SVIATOSLAV RICHTER, ARTURO BENEDETTI MICHELANGELI, RUDOLF KEHRER, SHURA CHERKASSKY, ALEXIS WEISSENBERG, BELLA DAVIDOVICH, TATIANA NIKOLAEVA, GRIGORY KOGAN, EUGENE MALININ and GRANT JOHANNESEN.

Named as "one of the most persuasive pianists", he has played solo and chamber music concerts (including the legendary GEWANDHAUS-QUARTET) as well as with orchestras in numerous concerts halls including MUSIKVEREIN in Vienna Austria, DE DOELEN HALL in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, THE GRAND HALL "BULGARIA" in Sofia as well as the THE KENNEDY CENTER, CARNEGIE HALL, STRATHMORE HALL, THE MEANY HALL, THE BARNS AT WOLF TRAP, THE NATIONAL AQUARIUM IN BALTIMORE and THE CLEVELAND MUSEUM OF ART in the United States to name a few. Mr. Konstantinov has worked with such conductors as WIELAND LAFFERENTZ - son of WAGNER'S grand-daughter VERENA, MSTISLAV ROSTROPOVICH, VLADI SIMEONOV, VLADIGEROV, HELMUT HOSNER, VASSIL STEFANOV, R.JOSEPH SCOTT among others. He has also performed repeatedly in many parts of the world including AUSTRIA, BULGARIA, CROATIA, CZECH REPUBLIC, GERMANY, HUNGARY, ITALY, MONTENEGRO, THE NETHERLANDS, THE PHILIPPINES, ROMANIA, SERBIA, SLOVAKIA, SLOVENIA and had collaborated with some of the most notable opera stars such as soprano RUTHILDE BOESCH and bass-bariton LJUBOMIR PANTSCHEFF. Mr. Konstantinov appears frequently on Radio and Television including WGMS' "Spotlight", WETA's "Capital Concerts" and "Voice of America". Bulgarian Television also did on several occasions features on him while the Bulgarian daily "Democracy" did an exclusive interview with the artist. A nephew of one of the greatest Bulgarian painters CHAVDAR PASHEV, Mr. Konstantinov's interests in the Fine Arts parallel those of SVIATOSLAV RICHTER, himself an author of astonishing artworks. Tzvetan Konstantinov can be found listed in the "Who's Who of the American Keyboard Artists" , "Who's Who in America" and "Who's Who in the World". Versed in seven languages and highly valued as a teacher his students come from all over the world and have won numerous international competitions. Mr. Konstantinov is currently a professor at The George Washington University (an All-Steinway School) in Washington, D.C. He is also Co-Founder and Executive Director of The International Master Institute of Music "Leopold Godowsky".

David Korevaar's recent ventures have included his complete traversals of the two books of Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, along with traditional recital programs and chamber music and concerto appearances. His recently issued recording of the first book of the WTC can be ordered online at .

Born in 1962, Korevaar has studied with the eminent American virtuosos Earl Wild and Abbey Simon, as well as with the remarkable Paul Doguereau. Along with a strong interest in new music, he performs from a wide repertoire of standard works of the last 300 years, and loves to explore some less-known nooks of the literature as well. Frequent forays into turn of the century music by Faure and Reger, as well as exploration of the solo piano works of Hindemith, Dohnanyi and others has been a hallmark of his programming since his New York debut at Town Hall in 1985 -- which was greeted by an enthusiastic review in the late-lamented Musical America by Faubion Bowers.

Honors and awards have included top prizes from the Peabody-Mason Foundation, and the William Kapell Competition, as well as a special prize for his performances of French Music from the Casadesus Competition. He is a member of the Prometheus Piano Quartet, and for many years performed as a member of Hexagon, winners of the Young Concert Artists Award.

Korevaar teaches at the University of Bridgeport, the Westport School of Music, and is currently completing studies for his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree at Juilliard.
