I am an almost entirely self-taught musician. My knowledge of music has been obtained from the practice of playing different instruments in orchestras and bands, and to studying their capabilities, use and not-use.

I arrange music for orchestra, wind band and chamber music groups to a professional standard, each piece being worked on with the utmost care and regard for the overall effect and the capabilities of the individual instruments. You will not find wrong notes, missing dynamics, impossible trills, bad page turns, or the use of mp as a dynamic - these being the mark of the amateur. I am confident you will be pleased with any of my work.

Recent work includes: A setting of Elgar's "Queen Alexandra's Memorial Ode" for choir and small orchestra; Elgar's "Prelude to the Dream of Gerontius" for symphonic wind band; a series of stunningly beautiful Sardana dances by master composers from Catalunya, arranged for wind band from the originals for Cobla band. I have unpublished compositions that I am still working on.

I play viola and clarinet, and occasionally horn and bass trombone. I am orchestra manager of a local amateur orchestra.
