| Born Date: 1975, October 6. Composer and viola player. I played in a symphonic orchestra since 12 until 21. Then dedicate my time to composition, chamber music, and computers (programming and MIDI). I studied in Orquesta Nacional Juvenil de Venezuela. My real teachers: the viola virtuoso Rodolfo Samglimbeni, the spanish/german conductor maestro Jordi Mora, the maestro virtuoso of doublebass Luis Gomez Imbert and the great virtuoso maestro of harpsichord Abreu.
If you are a soloist or ensamble interested in a solo, concert or any work, please e-mail me at crcaicedo@hotmail.com If you are honest and clear, I can write for you. My work is free only if you put correctly my credits in the concert program, and recognize the work as mine. My style is very eclectic, but i try to be clear, pretty and audible. I can work with you and your ideas, I write works played in Venezuela. This is the list: /Concerts/ Doublebass, mandolin, viola, flute, piccolo, trombone. /Chamber/ Solos for violin, viola, and harpsichord Duos for harpsichord&flute; viola&flute Two trios for flute, viola, cello Quartet for flute, violin, viola, doublebass Quintet for flute, violin, viola, cello, doublebass /Orchestra/ Little overture /Pedagogic/ Little concerts for viola, violin, flute, and tiny ensables, and solo pieces. ... and a lot of studies for many instruments.
I love the animals, art, literature, science, computers and Bible study (oops, forget my wife). You can speak me about music or anything. Forgive me if I sound pedantic, I try to apply the biblic principles but I be human and do mistakes (including this paragraph). I plan to self-publish my works, and works of others, in my site, as a Postcript archive or Cakewalk sequence.
I'm very sorry for my poor english. I speak spanish really, but can understand a bit of another languajes, like english, french, italian, portugues, esperanto and german. Feel free of e-mail me in any language, especially spanish or english, if you wish to play any of my works, you wish to make any plan with me or simply wish to speak me. Thanks.

| “Michelangelo is a very special talent, I haven’t encountered such a talent in a very longtime...meeting such a talent is not only a great pleasure, it is much more: it gives faith to the future in music” FOU TS’ONG
The Italian pianist Michelangelo Carbonara is distinguishing himself on the international scene, amongst the new generation of pianists, for his rare performing qualities and adventurous repertoire. The distinctive traits that so clearly set Michelangelo apart are his refined sensitivity coupled with a fervent dedication to tonal quality, and extraordinary finger dexterity. His popularity is also due to his huge and varied solo repertoire and to his predilection for extraordinarily interesting and complex composers, such as Schubert, Scarlatti, Mozart and Weber, not often attempted by the young generation. Moreover, Michelangelo has a polyphonic and orchestral approach to the piano - nursed by his deep passion for conducting - where technique always serves the music, and where the sound is always crucially important; a school of thought that descends from Claudio Arrau, Sir Clifford Curzon, Clara Haskil and, more recently, Radu Lupu.
Michelangelo Carbonara was born in 1979 in Salerno (Italy), starting musical studies when he was 5. He owes his piano formation to Sergio Perticaroli, William Grant Naboré and Fou Ts’ong. At 17, he graduated with top grades from the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome under the guidance of Fausto Di Cesare. In 1999 he achieved his Piano Specialization Degree with top grades at the Academy of Santa Cecilia, earning the Grant for the Best Graduate of the Year in the class of Sergio Perticaroli. Michelangelo furthered his studies at the Salzburg Mozarteum in Austria and the Académie Musicale de Villecroze (with Dominique Merlet) in France. In 2001 he was admitted to the famous International Piano Foundation “Theo Lieven” and the International Piano Academy Lake-Como (headed by the legendary Martha Argerich), to follow the master classes of Fou Ts’ong, Leon Fleisher, Graham Johnson, Dmitri Bashkirov, Alicia De Larrocha, Peter Frankl, Claude Frank, William Grant Naboré, Andreas Staier and many other luminaries. He has won numerous national and international piano competitions (around 20 prizes). At 18 he made his international debut with orchestra in Austria, where he played the Third and the First Beethoven Concertos in the same programme. In 2003 he debuted in China, also giving a master class at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. His repertory is extremely broad, and for 2006 he is preparing Mozart’s complete piano Concertos. Other activities include composition and conducting.

| Pianist Konstantza Chernov was born on January 2, 1973 in Sofia, Bulgaria. From a family of non-musicians, she showed intense interest in music at an early age, and began her formal piano studies at the age of seven. In 1986 she won first prize at the Svetoslav Obretinov Bulgarian National Piano Competition. That same year she appeared as a solo performer on Bulgarian National Television's "The Magic Present" television program. The following year she continued her early successes by winning first place in the Dimitar Nenov Bulgarian National Piano Competition.
At the age of nineteen, Konstantza entered the Vladigerov Convservatory, where she pursued her piano studies with Stella Dimitrova. In the same period, she was a participant at the Venice Piano Festival which included performances in the Schola Grande de San Giovanni Evangelista. In 1995 she came to the United States to attend Mannes College of Music (where she studied with Arkady Aronov), and in 1996 she transferred to Queens College (CUNY), where she studied with Morey Ritt. She received both her B.M. and M.A. degrees from Queens in 2002.
While at Queens, Konstantza was extremely active as a performer. She played in many chamber music concerts and appeared with the orchestra twice - once as a member, performing the piano part in Copland's "Clarinet Concerto", and once as a concerto soloist herself, performing Ravel's G Major concerto. She received over a dozen honors from Queens including several Chamber Music Live awards, the Mark Kyrkostas Award (twice), two Rathaus Family Memorial Awards, and The Presser Scholarship. In addition to her piano studies, Konstantza proved herself to be no mean scholar (both academically and musical/theoretically), and graduated magna cum laude.
A promoter of modern music, she recently performed works by Robert Cuckson and Mark Kyrkostas, and she gave the world premiere performance of Martín Kutnowski's revised version of "Postcards".
