I love the animals, art, literature, science, computers and Bible study (oops, forget my wife). You can speak me about music or anything. Forgive me if I sound pedantic, I try to apply the biblic principles but I be human and do mistakes (including this paragraph). The Italian pianist Michelangelo Carbonara is distinguishing himself on the international scene, amongst the new generation of pianists, for his rare performing qualities and adventurous repertoire. The distinctive traits that so clearly set Michelangelo apart are his refined sensitivity coupled with a fervent dedication to tonal quality, and extraordinary finger dexterity. His popularity is also due to his huge and varied solo repertoire and to his predilection for extraordinarily interesting and complex composers, such as Schubert, Scarlatti, Mozart and Weber, not often attempted by the young generation. Moreover, Michelangelo has a polyphonic and orchestral approach to the piano - nursed by his deep passion for conducting - where technique always serves the music, and where the sound is always crucially important; a school of thought that descends from Claudio Arrau, Sir Clifford Curzon, Clara Haskil and, more recently, Radu Lupu.

Ann studied music at Girton College, Cambridge, where she was an organ scholar. She is an Associate of the Royal College of Organists and holds a BA in Music from Cambridge University.

Adele plays with the London-based string quartet, the Killian Quartet who are all postgraduates of the Royal Academy of Music, London.The quartet performs widely throughout the UK, giving concerts at music clubs and education workshops and recitals. They also provide music at corporate functions and private parties.

Adele is also a keen traditional irish fiddler and plays regularly in the group Calhaem. She tours with musicians from Donegal&Holland and her own compositions are featured on a CD produced by Northern Rhythms, Falcarragh, Co.Donegal.

Solo Experiences/Masterclasses: 2005 • Masterclass and solo concerts at the “Masterclasses at the Musikhochschule Lübeck” (with Nobuko Imai), Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Germany. • Masterclass with Jerzy Kosmala, former Assistant Professor to William Primrose, and was invited to the masterclass at “Euro Arts Festival” in Leipzig, Germany. 2004 • Masterclasses with Sigmund Nissel and Nobert Brainin from the Amadeus Quartet. Also with Thomas Brandis, former Concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic, Hugh Bean, Zvi Zeitlin and Sylvia Rosenberg. Chamber music masterclasses with Malcolm Martineau, Joseph Sieger and Hartmut Rohde. • Invited by the Council of Culture Affair, Taiwan to perform a live-broadcasting recital at the NDR, Rolf-Liebermann-Studio – Hamburg and the Laeiszhalle - Musikhalle Gr. Saal Oper Hamburgische Staatsoper, Germany. 2003 • Masterclass with Viktor Pikaizen and Victor Kravchanko, former Assistant Professor to Leonid Kogan at the Moscow State Conservatory, Russia.

Orchestral/Chamber Music Experiences: 2005 • Participant of the BBC Philharmonic Professional Access Scheme 2005/06 • Nominee of the LSO String Experience and the Philharmonia Scheme 2005/06. • Sectional Viola, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Orchestra, Germany. Toured to Japan and Germany under Christoph Eschenbach and Christopher Hogwood. Premiered Ichiro Nodaira’s opera “Madrugada” under Kent Nagano, and has participated the “young.euro.classic” Festival in Berlin under Yutaka Sado. • Premiered “Voyage VII” by Toshio Hosokawa with the Ensemble of the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival at the NDR, Rolf-Liebermann-Studio, Hamburg. Also performed T. Hosokawa’s “Voyage VI” with Nobuko Imai at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. • Member of the Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme. • Sub-Principle Viola, Britten-Pears Orchestra at the Snape Maltings under James MacMillan, Alexander Polianichko, former House Conductor at the Mariinsky (Kirov) Theatre and Paul Daniel at the 58th Aldeburgh Festival. 2001~ 05 • Performed with the R.A.M. Symphony Orchestra, RAM Sinfonia and Orchestra of the R.A.M. Opera as Sub-Principle Viola under Christoph von Dohnanyi, Sir Colin Davis, Sir Charles Markerras, Yan Pascal Totelier, Alexander Lazarev, Lutz Köhler and Tadaaki Otaka.

At the age of nineteen, Konstantza entered the Vladigerov Convservatory, where she pursued her piano studies with Stella Dimitrova. In the same period, she was a participant at the Venice Piano Festival which included performances in the Schola Grande de San Giovanni Evangelista. In 1995 she came to the United States to attend Mannes College of Music (where she studied with Arkady Aronov), and in 1996 she transferred to Queens College (CUNY), where she studied with Morey Ritt. She received both her B.M. and M.A. degrees from Queens in 2002.

While at Queens, Konstantza was extremely active as a performer. She played in many chamber music concerts and appeared with the orchestra twice - once as a member, performing the piano part in Copland's "Clarinet Concerto", and once as a concerto soloist herself, performing Ravel's G Major concerto. She received over a dozen honors from Queens including several Chamber Music Live awards, the Mark Kyrkostas Award (twice), two Rathaus Family Memorial Awards, and The Presser Scholarship. In addition to her piano studies, Konstantza proved herself to be no mean scholar (both academically and musical/theoretically), and graduated magna cum laude.
