Josh Aerie is an experienced instructor, chamber musician, and performer. He received his Master of Music degree in Cello Performance from the University of Colorado in 2002, and completed his undergraduate work at Oberlin Conservatory of Music and Oberlin College, where he received both a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Anthropology.

Mr. Aerie was the cellist of the Nacht String Quartet, the University of Colorado's Graduate Quartet from 2000 to 2002. Mentored by the Grammy-winning Takacs Quartet, the Nacht won both first prize and the audience choice award in the Bruce Ekstrand Memorial Competition in December 2001. They were then invited to be the inaugural quartet in an exchange and residency program with the Hans Eisler Conservatory in Berlin. Subsequently, the Quartet spent 8 weeks in Germany, performing in Berlin, Lichterfelde, and Bielefeld.

At the University of Colorado, Mr. Aerie was Principal Cellist of the CU Symphony and Opera Orchestras. He was a frequent guest on many student and faculty recitals, both with the Nacht Quartet and as a soloist. At the Oberlin Conservatory, Mr. Aerie was Principal of the Contemporary Music Ensemble, and Assistant Principal of the Oberlin Chamber Orchestra and Oberlin Opera Orchestra. Mr. Aerie is currently on the cello faculty at the College of St. Scholastica, and freelances in the Duluth, MN area. In the summer of 2004 he moved to Northern Virginia from Los Angeles where he was a successful freelancer and teacher. While in Southern California he was a regular cellist in many orchestras, including the Riverside Philharmonic, the San Bernardino Symphony, the Los Angeles Debut Orchestra, and the Golden State Pops. While in the Washington, D.C. area Mr. Aerie performed with the National Philharmonic, Maryland Symphony, Baltimore Concert Artists, Fairfax Symphony, Roanoke Symphony, Alexandria Symphony, and the National Cathedral Orchestra. Additionally, he performed for various dignitaries, including Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of Veterans' Affairs Anthony Principi, foreign ambassadors, and members of congress at such venues as the Kennedy Center, Strathmore Hall, the Library of Congress, and the Smithsonian museums.

Mr. Aerie enjoys teaching and maintains an active studio. Instructing cellists of all ages and abilities, his students have distinguished themselves in state and regional competitions and orchestras, and in school and scholarship auditions. Mr. Aerie has conducted master classes and coached various ensembles, and he is sought after as a judge for competitions and auditions. While at Oberlin, he was Instructor of Cello in both the Conservatory's String Preparatory Program and the Secondary Lesson Program. He also coached and conducted for the Washington D.C. Youth Orchestra Program, the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Capital Cello Circle. Breaking out of the 'classical mold', Mr. Aerie has played electric cello for various bands, ensembles, and solo artists. He has written string arrangements for recordings, played for film, television, and audio sessions, and performed at some of the most renowned clubs in L.A., Hollywood, Santa Monica, and Laguna Beach. Mr. Aerie can be heard on two recordings for the Vitamin Records label, the Frozen Food Section Records, and United Artists Publishing.

Dr. Varsha Agrawal is the one and only female artiste from India who has received international recognition for her brilliant performance on Santoor. Santoor is rare musical instruments of Kashmir and to find a female artist playing on this is rarest. Dr. Varsha Agrawal is a dedicated Santoor player who displays remarkable genius. David D'Alesio is an italian clarinettist. Born in Livorno in 1966. He is doctored since 1988. Is 1st principal clarinet at Orchestra Sinfonica di Massa Carrara and also plays with other italian orchestras: Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna, CittàLirica Orchestra, Puccini Opera Festival Orchestra, Orchestra Modigliani, San Gimignano International Festival Orchestra.

Arshak Andriasov was born on February 6th, 1980, in New York City to a musical family, who came to the United States in 1979 from Moscow, Russia (the former Soviet Union). His father, the late Iosif Andriasov, was a world-renowned composer and philosopher of Armenian heritage; his mother, Marta Andriasova (Kudryashova), is a musicologist, Dozent of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, owner of IMMA Publishing.

Arshak began to play the piano at the age of three. At the age of six, he entered the Lucy Moses School of Music, studying with Boris Slutzky. Arshak started to compose at the age of fourteen and studied with his father, Iosif Andriasov; Daniel Thompson (Lucy Moses music school); and Shafer Mahoney (Hunter College). Mr. Andriasov also studied piano, ear training, solefege, harmony, theory, form analysis with his mother, Marta Andriasova (Kudryashova), and Daniel Thompson, as well as piano, orchestration, polyphony, and conducting with his father.

Mr. Andriasov was the Assistant Conductor of the BMCC Downtown Orchestra from 1997 until 1999. He has conducted his father’s compositions with the San Francisco Student Philharmonic. Arshak performs his own music and has recorded all of his piano compositions. In 2002, Mr. Andriasov graduated from Hunter College with a bachelor degree in English Creative Writing and Music Composition. Arshak is the Founder and Owner of the recording label “IMMA Records”. In 2003, Arshak Andriasov wrote his Second Piano Sonata, dedicating the work “To All Those Against U.S. Military Barbarism.” He also composed the “Torch No. 1” for Trumpet, Trombone, Piano, and String Orchestra.

Arshak Andriasov is continuing the Moscow Conservatory Composers tradition, stemming from P.I. Tchaikovsky - S.I. Taneev - N.Y. Miaskovsky - E.K. Golubev - Iosif Andriasov - Arshak Andriasov.

Tigran Arakelyan is an Armenian-American conductor and flutist. Mr. Arakelyan is working toward Master of Music degree in Orchestral Conducting at Cal State University Northridge. At Northridge he is the Assistant Conductor of University Orchestra, Discovery Players (new music ensemble) and CSUN Youth Philharmonic. Previously he was a Conducting Fellow with California Philharmonic assisting Maestro Victor Vener. He was one of eight conducting fellows invited to participate in 2010 Seasons Festival Academy where he conducted the Yakima Symphony Chamber Orchestra. Mr. Arakelyan participated in masterclasses with Frank Battisti, Donald Thulean, Lawrence Golan, Brooke Creswell and Tony Mazzaferro.

He was the founder and Music Director of Cadence Chamber Orchestra in Seattle; the orchestra premiered a new piece at every concert as well as traditional repertoire. Arakelyan conducted the Pacific Northwest premiere of Paul Hindemith Kammermuzik Nr. 1. He has also premiered works by Iosif Andriasov, Jon Brenner, Arshak Andriasov, Gracie Sutherland and Brendon Wilson. Cornish College of the Arts gave a grant in support of his work with Cadence Chamber Orchestra. He is a recipient of Nellie Cornish and Welland Jordan Scholarships and first place winner of the Armenian Allied Arts Competition. He graduated from Cornish College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Music degree in flute performance and Lark Musical Conservatory with a performance diploma.

Mr. Arakelyan has played in masterclasses with renowned flutists Dr. Stephen Preston, Shigenori Kudo, Dr. John Barcellona, Dorli McWayne and Dr. Shelly Collins. . He studied flute with Paul Taub, Dr. John Barcellona, Laura Osborn, Christina Badalyan and chamber music with Bern Herbolsheimer and Stephen Stubbs.

P. B. Archotnides is a well-established Greek-Australian pianist. He has trained with E. Powell at the Sydeny University's Conservatorium (a pupil herself of Arrau) and with D. Toufexis (an esteemed Julliard graduate, pupil of Lateiner and Masselos). Mr. Archontides is himself also a graduate of the American College of Greece and of the Skalkotas Conservatory of Greece with highest distinctions.

He has won several piano competitions in Greece and Australia and has appeared solo and as member of the piano duo he has formed with his wife N. Tsaldarakis at the Sydney Opera House, the Sibelius Academy, the Megaron Hall of Athens, the Penteli Festival etc.

He teaches piano and higher theoretical studies at the National Conservatory of Greece (Glyfada Annex). He also teaches at the American College of Greece (where he conducts the 100-member Pierce College Choir) and at the Athens Institute of Music (an affiliate of the National Conservatory of Greece awarding the Associate and Graduate Certificates).

Matthew Ash was born in Leicester in 1978 and began playing the piano, under the tuition of classical improvisation expert Nigel Allcoat, at the age of 6. After moving to the North West area in 1986, Matthew continued his studies with the late Katrina George, and then Marjorie Clementi of the RNCM, before studying with Andrew West and John Clegg as an undergraduate at the University of Lancaster. Matthew graduated in 2000 with a BMus(Hons) degree and was awarded the Denis McCaldin Performance Prize for the quality of his final recital. Matthew has also benefitted from private and public master class sessions with British concert pianists Martin Roscoe, and Robert Bell and, as a teenager, was an annual recipient of the Lancashire County Music Award - given by audition to a small number of promising musicians.

As a solo recitalist, Matthew has performed across the North West for Fylde Arts; Lytham St.Annes Music Circle; Garstang Arts Centre; Penrith Piano Circle; ULMS Lunchtime Concerts; and Grundy Midday Recitals. Matthew has also appeared as piano soloist with Fylde Sinfonia and Blackpool Symphony Orchestra in concertos by Grieg (A Minor); Rachmaninov (No.2); and Beethoven (No.5) as well as the Litolff Scherzo. Matthew recently formed a piano duo with pianist Adam Greig, also a postgraduate at the University of Lancaster, and they are currently developing programmes for future performances. Sarah Askey,violinist aged 24,was trained at the Welsh Conservatoire and Trinity College,London. Taught by the principle of the BBC NOW and Philharmonia, James Clarke and for her second instrunment- Baroque violin by the leader of the Amsterdam Baroque, Margaret Faultless.

A strong foundation to performance has been made and a selection of performance achievements to date include: Membership of National Youth Orchestra of Wales,1992-1998. Selection via audition 1999 to work with the BBC NOW under the baton of Taadaki Otaka, as part of a BBC Education venture. Winner of Royal Philharmonic Society Sir John Barbirolli Prize For Strings 1999. Selected in 2000 to join the highly esteemed Britten Pears Baroque orchestra.

Concert pianist Konstantine Athanasakos has performed throughout the United States as well as in England, France, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Greece as soloist, recitalist and chamber musician, bringing standing ovations in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, London, Paris, Nice, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Zurich, Rome, Milan, Murcia, Valencia, Athens and Salonica. One of the youngest nominees-ever for the National Academy of Arts and Letters Award in Greece, and First Prize winner in the ’03 Concours F.Clidat-L.Talmart’ in Paris, Mr. Athanasakos received early recognition as the Grand Prize winner of the Athens National competition at 14 and as a Unanimous Premier Prix Graduate of the Athens Conservatory at 18. Founding member of the ‘Mythos Piano Trio’, Mr. Athanasakos has appeared in Jordan Hall, Northeastearn University and University of Harvard, at the Auditorio y centro de Congresos, Musical Arts Center, ‘The Composer’s Series’, and has received invitations from Carnegie’s Weill Hall, Wigmore Hall, Aspen Music Festival, Banff Center of the Arts, from the Greek and Spanish Embassies in the US, the Spanish Ministry of Culture, the Manhattan School of Music, Boston Concervatory, Longy School of Music, and others. The first Greek artist to perform on Internet TV-Radio Networks, Mr. Athanasakos’s performances have been broadcast by National Public TV-Radio stations in Europe and the USA. An ‘Artist Diploma’ graduate of the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, Mr. Athanasakos also pursued Doctoral studies at the University of Indiana at Bloomington under the supervision of Menahem Pressler and Franco Gulli. He earned his Masters and Graduate degrees (with both honors and distinction) from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, which he entered at the suggestion of Leon Fleisher. His mentors there included G.Chodos, P.Zander and R.Sherman. Mr. Athanasakos taught in the Athens Conservatory for 3 years, starting from age 16. He served as a visiting recitalist/lecturer at the American College of Greece and has been an Artist-in-Residence at Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris.

Mr. Auerbach-Brown received his BM in Composition from Ithaca College where his major teachers were Dana Wilson and Gregory Woodward. He went on to complete his MM in Composition at the Cleveland Institute of Music where he studied with Donald Erb.

Mr. Auerbach-Brown was awarded an ASCAP Young Composers’ Award in 1996 for his Trio for Violin, Cello and Piano. In 1998 Mr. Auerbach-Brown was the recipient of a Charles Ives Scholarship given by the American Academy of Arts and Letters to “composition students of great promise.” Other notable performances include the premiere of Mr. Auerbach-Brown’s String Quartet at Weill Recital Hall in December of 1997 by the Cavani Quartet.

Mr. Auerbach-Brown is active as an educator, teaching music theory and composition at the Cleveland Music School Settlement, as well as teaching classes in the Liberal Arts department at the Cleveland Institute of Art. His classes at CIA focus on the connections between contemporary music and sound art with the visual arts. Mr. Auerbach-Brown is also a member of the Cleveland Composers’ Guild and the American Composers’ Alliance. His works have been performed regularly on ACA’s yearly Festival of American Music. He is also a contributing editor to the New Music Connoisseur.
