| Raised in Jacksonville, Illinois, my musical training began at a young age with piano and voice lessons. I began harp study during high school at the age of 15. My first harp teacher was Alice Spero Keene, the professor of harp at the University of Illinois in Champaign. Subsequent teachers include Beatriz Martin-Ruiz of the University of Illinois and Suzann Davids of Valparaiso University.
After attending Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois for two years, I transferred to Valparaiso University in Indiana where I graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and in 2005 with a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (History Concentration). While at Bradley, I sang with the Chorale and Community Chorus, played harp for a performance of George Crumb's "Ancient Voices of Children" with the New Music Ensemble, and appeared as a soloist in the Prism concert series. I was fortunate to be able to tour Poland and the Czech Republic with the Bradley Chorale. At this time, I also began teaching beginning harp students and performed at events in Peoria and the surrounding areas.
At Valparaiso University, I was a member of the Chorale and Orchestra, touring with both groups throughout the United States. I gave vocal solo recitals in January of 2001 and April of 2003. As a harpist, I also accompanied the VU Chorale for their Christmas recording “Christ Child: Songs of the Nativity,” available from VUCA Media, and the Kantorei choir for Christmas Vespers services. I was a member of the pit orchestra for Valparaiso University's production of "The Ballad of Baby Doe" in 2001, and for the Memorial Opera House production of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" in 2005.
Currently, I am active as a freelance harpist working throughout the Midwest, performing at numerous weddings, fundraisers, funerals, corporate functions, and other events. I am also a founding member of Glissando Harps, a harp ensemble that provides music for all occasions.

| I have been playing guitar for around about 20 years. Although a Bass player first and foremost, I wanted to write songs to contribute to the band I was playing in at the time. So I learned to play the guitar and have been writing ever since. I have performed in bands playing rhythm and lead, but most of my playing is done in my home studio. Having recorded most styles of music, I would like to pass on that knowledge via Cadenza.

| Babis (Charalambos) Kanas was born in 1952 and grew up in N. Faliron, near Piraeus. Son of the sea-painter Antony Kanas, he showed interest and love for music, already from his childhood. In 1969 he entered the Athens Conservatory where he studied harmony with Menelaos Pallandios and flute with Urs Ruttiman. He graduated from both studies with distinction, in 1977 and 1980 respectively. Meanwhile, he stydied counterpoint, fugue and composition with Yannis A. Papaioannou. Later, in collaboration with Costas Clavvas, he practiced the style and orchestration of modern music. At that time he registrated his titles of study (Kentrikon Odeion, 1994: Diploma of Composition with distinction and First Prize). His writing is mostly contrapuntal, although his main purpose is the outmarking of melodic elements. His style is characterized by a balancing on the limits between extended- and multi-tonality which is usually achieved by the use of multi-note chords, as well as antique and/or ethnic modes.
His up-to-now works include solo and chamber music, choral music, works for orchestra with and without soloist(s), as well as many songs, musik for the theatre and radio. Most of them are often performed in Greece and abroad (Tchech Rep., Hungary, Austria, Holland, Bulgaria, Ukrainia, Italy, Switzerland, Belgique, France, USA, Canada), performed and broadcasted by the Greek Radio, twice awarded by composition prizes and edited on CD records. He has had comissions by the Athens Music Hall, the A. Onassis Foundation, the European Cultural Centre of Delphi, the Organization for the Cultural Capital of Europe, the Athens State Orchestra and the Union of Greek Composers where, he has been a member of the Administrative Board. B.Kanas is a professor in Athens Conservatory and elsewhere, and Artistic Director of Melantheion Odeion in Rhodes. He has been a flute performer in orchestras and solo recitals.
