| | Jaroslav Novak was born on June 24, 1968. He has studied at the Prague conservatory: guitar playing under prof. Vaclav Kucera and composition under prof. Bohuslav Rehor. As a guitarist, he mostly works in recording studios and, as member of the Duo Jers, he became a prizewinner of the competion Young Prague. He has cooperated with Pavla Milcova on her CD "Benighted" and in 1992 came out his own CD in cooperation with flutist Jaroslav Pelikan: "Mlcenlive pribehy II" (Silent stories).
As a composer, he dedicates himself mostly to "sacred rock" and is the author, among others, of a Symphony in E, of two guitar concertos, of several sonatas, of a guitar quartet and more than 250 songs.
