Claire studied at UCL/Birkbeck College receiving distinction in Opera Performance and was awarded a scholarship from the Otakar Kraus Memorial Fund. She then went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma at Trinity College of Music, winning the 1999 Ricordi Opera Prize.
Her oratorio experience has included Mahler's 8th Symphony, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Mozart's Mass in C Minor and the Requiem, Haydn's Stabat Mater and Creation, Handel's Brockes Passion and Messiah. Venues include Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Southwark Cathedral, Fairfield Halls, St.John's Smith Square and St.Martin-In-The-Fields.
Operatic roles include Countess Almaviva (Figaro), Vanessa (Vanessa), Madame Lidoine (Dialogue of the Carmelites), Queen of The Night & First Lady (Magic Flute), Michaela & Fraquita (Carmen) High Priestess (Aida),Servilia (Clemenza di Tito, Naide (Ariadne auf Naxos) and Le Rossignol (L'enfant et les sortileges)
Claire recorded the role of 'Blush of Morning' in Arthur Sullivan's 'The Rose of Persia' for BBC Music Magazine. She is a regular session singer and has sung with London Voices and Southwark Voices, working for ITV1, BBC television and BBC radio. She has sung in France, Netherlands, Italy and South Africa. Claire is an extra chorister at English National Opera and sang in War & Peace, Masked Ball, La Vestale and will sing in Kovanshchina and Trojans Part I & II this season. She studies with Nick Powell and Phillip Thomas.
