| Scottish Soprano Shuna Sendall graduated from the Alexander Gibson Opera School at Rsamd in Glasgow. She has won many prizes and scholarships including the Ramsey A Calder Debussy prize, the Margaret Dick award, the Bill Dewar Memorial prize and several awards for Scot’s song. Most recently she won first prize in the Great Elm Vocal Awards. A regular recitalist throughout Scotland, her concert appearances have included Mozart’s C Minor Mass and Requiem, Verdi’s Requiem, Berlioz Nuits d’ete, Barber’s Knoxville Summer of 1915, Handel’s Messiah, Opera Galas with the RSNO, Opera on a Shoestring and Tayside Opera, and several performances at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with her chamber group ecoute. She recently returned from performances of Burns songs in Spain and 'The Time Machine' by Mathew Brown at several Welsh music festivals. While at RSAMD, Shuna performed the roles of Elettra in Idomeneo, Concepcion in L’Heure Espagnole, La Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi and Mrs Green in Down by the Greenwood Side as well as many operatic excerpts including Tatyana in Eugene Onegin, Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier, Countess in Nozze di Figaro, Fiordiligi in Cosi Fan Tutte and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni. She has covered the roll of Medea in a newly commissioned opera 'The Minotaur' for Scottish Opera for All . Shuna is the 2004 recipient of the Scottish Wagner Society’s Bayreuth Scholarship.
