| The late Roger Gabriel and the orchestra's first leader, the late Marjorie Robinson, founded the Kensington Philharmonic Orchestra (London)in April 1965. It aims to provide an opportunity for advanced players to study and perform works from the classical and modern repertoire, including those not so frequently heard in the concert hall. The orchestra gives at least three concerts a year in the Royal Borough.
